Andy Evans has just returned from visiting poor and vulnerable families in South Africa, he went with a team from Great Wyrley Performing Arts High School and Cheslyn Hay Sport & Community High School.
Andy Said “I was part of a team which consisted of year 10 & 6th form pupils, two teachers from the schools and the local minister and his family. We worked on projects to assist the local communities in the region called Mpumalanga not too far from the Mozambique boarder. It was a very humbling experience to see how they manage with so little. We assisted with a school sports day which was great fun, we then made sandwiches for 150 children.”
